Fluidra’s Olympic-size pools

Fluidra is a multinational company dedicated to the pool and wellness sector.  Their mission is to create the perfect pool experience by developing innovative products and services.

Though Fluidra’s key market is the domestic pools one, their involvement in the public pool sector has been strengthened after signing four contracts for Olympic-size pools valued at almost 10 million € in Indonesia, Malaysia and Peru.

Fluidra will build three swimming pools at the Aquatic Arena Papua that will host the National Sports Week (PON) in 2020. This event takes place every four years and athletes from all provinces of Indonesia participate. The project includes the building of an Olympic-size pool for both swimming and water polo competitions, an Olympic-size pool for competitive diving and a warm-up pool with spa bath.

The pool industry supplier is also involved in building the competition pools for the XX Sukma Games in Malaysia. These Games, which will be held in June 2020 are a biannual national multi-sport event involving 3,000 young athletes and volunteers. This specific project consists of refurbishing a competition pool and a diving pool by using Skypool panels. Fluidra already participated as apool supplier in the last Sukma Games from 2018.

Apart from these two projects, Fluidra is in charge of designing and building an Olympic-size pool for the water polo competition in Lima (Peru) on the occasion of Pan American Games 2019. Colloquially also known as thePan Am Games, they will be held from July 26 to August 11, 2019 and will host about 6,000 participants representing 41 nations.

RENOLIT ALKORPLAN is the perfect lining solution for Olympic-size swimming pools. Our reinforced pool liner has been installed in several large projects on the occasion of Olympic Games and other competitions such as the Olympic Games of Atlanta, Beijing, Atlanta and London.

We highly recommend ALKORPLAN XTREME for lining public pools. ALKORPLAN XTREME withstands the wear and tear of everyday use of the pool, even when used on a regular basis by a large number of bathers and when it’s subject to aggressive chemical treatments.

We wish Fluidra, the competition organizers and participants good luck and may the best one win.
